The Reverend Christopher Walk serves as pastor of Church of the Redeemer. Chris grew up in southeast Ohio. He graduated from Ohio University in 2002, where he also felt a call to vocational ministry. He worked for the campus ministry Cru for two years before moving to Fayetteville, NC.

Through his time as a lay leader at Resurrection Church in Hope Mills, NC and as a student at Campbell University Divinity School, Chris discerned that he was called to ordained ministry. He graduated from Campbell with a Master of Divinity in 2013. He was ordained a deacon in April of 2016 and a priest in October of 2019. In March of 2021, Chris became the third rector of Church of the Redeemer. He is excited to see what God will use Redeemer to bring the gospel to Camden and the Albemarle region.

Chris and his wife, Melanie, have two children. Chris enjoys sports, all things J.R.R. Tolkien, movies, and a good dad joke.
