Our Mission and Vision

Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:18-20

Our Mission

The mission of the Church of the Redeemer is To Know God and to Make Him Known.

To know God is more than having intellectual knowledge about him. It’s knowledge gained through a thriving relationship with the Triune God. In John 17:3, Jesus prays to the Father, “And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” Through the empowering of the Holy Spirit, we seek to grow in our knowledge of God and make him known, that all of us may share in that eternal life.

We also believe that knowing God and making him known is done through the church. There are qualities of the early church in Acts 2:42-47 that we seek to emulate here at Redeemer, because in doing so we… you guessed it: know God and make him known. These qualities are Bible study, fellowship, hospitality, prayer, care, mission, generosity, and worship.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a spiritual harbor of hospitality where new and abundant life overflows in and around us.

Eternal life is not something we have to wait to look forward to experiencing in heaven. Jesus offers eternal life now, in our day-to-day lives, and we at Redeemer desire to be that spiritual harbor of hospitality where God can lavishly bless all with that eternal life.
