Meet Jessica
The Rev. Jessica Fulton Lee is the Assistant Priest at Church of the Redeemer. Mother Jessica grew up in Wilmington, NC and graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 2006 before obtaining her Master of Divinity at Asbury Theological Seminary in 2010. Jessica began to serve Church of the Redeemer in July of 2010 and was ordained a Deacon in 2011 and then a Priest in 2012. Jessica’s ministry is anchored in the church and invested in the community. She served as the first Residential Advisor for Albemarle Teen Challenge, worked as a teacher’s assistant for children with exceptional needs, spent three years working as a medical Chaplain and now serves as a community-based Chaplain in the animal rescue community.
Mother Jessica likes preaching and the writings of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. She is currently working on a Doctorate in Theology and Ministry in Romantic Theology at Northwind Seminary, where she studies the theology of the Inklings (Lewis, Tolkien, and company). Jessica is happily married to Evan, and lives in Virginia Beach with their daughter Kayleigh and fur-babies; Charity Belle, Ludwig, and Zechariah Zacchaeus.
